Creation of an online Knowledge Base, Chatbot, and Technical Documentation for a cyber-security start-up.
The Process
With no prior knowledge of the project, my first step was to learn the application by going through each feature as if I was a new customer. As I progressed, I created an outline of the application structure and flow. They had also requested that if I found bugs to document those so I took detailed notes including steps to recreate errors.
This process gave me enough of a basis to begin building the Stonly guides for each section which were then organized those into sections. Normalyze was brand new at the time and revisions happened frequently as changes were made to the UI and many new features were added.
In collaboration with the team, I set up the chatbot feature and on-screen guides to assist with onboarding as well.
Migration to Github
Normalyze has been quite successful and the team has grown exponentially in just a few years. My last task was to help migrate the documentation to Gitbook as the new fully in-house (California) docs team transitioned onto the project.
